![]() | The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive: A Leadership Fable by Patrick Lencioni
This short fable presents consultant Patrick Lencioni’s view of what CEOs need to pay attention to in order for their organizations to succeed. These four obsessions include building a strong leadership team (see The Five Dysfunctions of a Team), but also cover how to create, communicate (over-communicate, actually), and reinforce organizational clarity. This clarity provides the basis for an overarching strategy (not a dust-gathering strategic plan) that moves everyone in the organization in the same direction. I think this Lencioni book and the Team book are both must-reads for top executives.
